same as nearly every other terrier kennel club started making standard for them and it wasnt favoured to work them just to show them with nice hair cuts

Theres a reason why there not worked they were tried tested failed more than likely but I have seen one kill a rat in a blocked end it lasted all of 45 mins then I had to hit the rat a fatal blow to the head but I was happy with the dog I got what I went for it was one hell of rat about 1 foot long and teeth like a tin opener but youll never see a better I worker than scott the true scottish hero

So u would say there's noone working them these days I don't really know much bout the terrier game I've a little Russell bitch that bolts the odd fox an dug to couple times never been out with anyone in the game my bitch does what I want like I said no idea dont know anyone in the game really but people I've spoken too all just have borders lakeys an black dogs

i got a sealyham terrier today for ratting and bushing and mink but i will give it a go at going to ground just to see how he dose i think all terriers have it in them we just got to show them the work to bring them on

Yer like lee said they must have it It some were was more of a question on if it would actually work regularly or bay till the quarry gave it back an scarper dog as said before bit dum on the terrier game anything you say is interesting to me
