bigoy19706 276 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Share Posted August 19, 2012 hi all i have a terrier here that was a good marker but has started giving false marks i did let a lad take the dog bushing rabbits 1 or 2 time and he had been seen sending it in rabbit holes that the dog has no interest in naw i don,t no if this is the caus but is there any way that i can stop the dog false marking Quote Link to post

bigoy19706 276 Posted August 19, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 19, 2012 i take him and a russell with my lurchers to a place where lots of drain pipes and building rubbish has been dumped and he was marking the drain pipes that had rabbit in them never let me down when he marked one there was allways a rabbit or 2 in them but last 2 time i have been he has marked the pipes and when you look in them there no rabbit Quote Link to post

reddawn 2,173 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Share Posted August 19, 2012 nowt worse than a dog that false marks, id rather the c**t never marked at all :censored: iv seen a few over the years but im lucky its never hapend to me, id be gutted, theres been times iv spoke up to guests an had to tell em there dog was marking false, an then felt a nobb until either the bunny/fox was bolted or dug, then i knew my own dogs were spot on, if 1 of mine started to false mark id be seriously pissed off as i trust them 100% Quote Link to post
