Sharp innova leak

Recommended Posts

I was wondering is someone could help me with my innova leak!

The gun was working ok until yesterday,

It holds air fine, the problem is when I pull on the trigger lightly I can hear air leak into the breach and the gun loses power..... Shall we say, a friend, gave it a squirt of duck oil in the trigger area and down the breach, not sure if this may have contributed to it or not.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Ant

Hi, mate. Duck oil and the like are way too thin and are solvent rich and this will wash out whatever lube was in there to start with. Get some proper lube in there ASAP from a gun shop or compressed gas supplier for rubber 'o' ring seals and it should get things back to normal. Just two or three drops should do the trick, don't go mad with it!!:D

Not allways easy to repair such a leak on a Sharp Innova, On that model the valve isnt a knock open type instead it is released by the trigger pulling down a plate that holds in the exhaust valve, over time and many many shots the plate aquires a indent which causes such a leak, you may be lucky and find it is something more easilly repaired, Tony Wall at Sandwell is a Innova collecter and is conversant with the workings of these rifles and is well quallified to repair them. If he cant help then PM me and if you pay for the postage both ways I will repair it for nowt as long as I can replace or repair the worn out part.
