Recommended Posts

Alright lads i have a bitch which i bred my self 2 years ago and i want to keep her line.Ill be only breeding for my self and cullin the rest as i find her is to many lurchers being bred for profit and not for there work abilitys. The only thing is i dont want to breed her till shes 5 or 6 or as old as i can but alot of people have told me i need to breed her before shes 4 or else she will have problems pupping.I would just like to hear the ages u bred your bitch at thanks lads

Got a collie cross bitch here at the minute with a litter of 4 wk old pup's, who was 6 yr old March just gone. It was her 1st (and probably her last ) and she had no trouble what so ever.

As long as the bitch in question is fit and healthy, can't see any problem taking a litter from her up to maybe 8 yr's old.

Its when they start hitting 8 year old, you may have problems,, but if the bitch is fit and well all should be fine! just get a vet to check her over before the breeding,,

i find it best to have a new pup in every 4/5 year
