ok, i just typed out a really long & well-written reply to this topic, and managed to delete the lot somehow before i posted it....

i really can't be fecked to do it again....

but the basic gist of it was...

i come from a hunting/shooting/fishing family. i was veggie for ten years, and an anti for the first 7 of those (from the age of 12). i sat down one day when i was 19, and had a damn good think about all the issues i was (rather half-heartedly) against. the only logical way to go was back the other way, although i stayed veggie for a few more years, partly because i didn't have access to a meat source i was happy with, and partly because i'm a stubborn little f*cker, and i wanted to prove to myself i could last ten years. i now eat meat, but only roadkill, what i shoot, what Gyp catches, what i can rear myself, and meat from verifiable sources (friends, very good butchers, etc).

don't stop eating meat. just give a crap about where it comes from. know what you're eating. care about how it lived, and how it died.

and don't eat too much. the human body is not designed to eat meat 3 times a day, every day. couple of times a week is plenty. anyone noticed how more people keel over from cancer & heart disease since meat got cheaper & less messy (and more full of crap!)? :hmm:

from a veggie anti...

to this in my bathroom...

my dad can't believe how i've done a total 180...

:clapper: well said mate, my sentiments entirely, also everything thats caught is eaten or we dont catch it :clapper:
