secretagentmole 1,701 Posted July 12, 2012 Report Share Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Was down at the permission this evening when I saw the owner tending to his flock, had a chat, showed him the couple of kits I had bagged on the walk round, "Could you do me a favour?" He asked. "Do you like chicken?" "Why?" "Got a couple of Light Sussex Cockerels that have turned bad, had a go at me and started on the rest of the flock.." He said! Nice chicken too, free range, corn fed, golden fat all over it.... It was fun getting the cockerel though, the farmer had had a pop at it with his air rifle, it was very gun shy! secretagentmole 1,701 Posted July 13, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) Also saw a little owl whilst out, seen it before but had not identified it (only ever seen Tawny or Barn owls in the wild before), looks a bit like a darker, more belligerent Thrush that flew face first into the patio doors!
