tsteve9999 456 Posted July 11, 2012 Report Share Posted July 11, 2012 How old and more importanly how well trained is your lurcher? In my limited experience the pup will pick up the older dogs bad habits much easier than the good ones, and trying to train 2 dogs is a real pain in the arse unless you know your stuff. Another thing to consider is that if the dogs are nearly the same age you will eventually end up with 2 old dogs, whereas if you wait till the lurcher is say 5 years old you will always have one dog that's in its prime, Quote Link to post
