Does anyone keep large terriers say 14/15 inch plus.would like to see some pics. The reason i ask is

that i have some permission on an old aerodrome/airbase that is full of drains. My terriers the biggest being 12 inch and 7 kg get the job done but i think something a bit bigger would handle it easyer. also what do u guys use in drains(20 inch and more diameter on pipes).cheers aaron

you wont be digging on them much not if the quarry has all that room , and you want a big net for the ends . remember a fox ran into a storm culvert in the ditch and it was that big that the hounds ran up it, looked up it with the torch and shit meself when a fooking hound was running back at me. you wouldnt of thought they had crawled up there , especially when hounds were marking outside. :icon_redface:

only dug once all season and that was to a sickly vixen, was boltong them to a shot gun

was thinking a bigger terrier would move them better.14/15 plus i said and that is bigger

than my terriers and i would guess they would be 10kg wich is heavyer than most foxes i come across

Got a dog hear that's 16-17 inches at the shoulder and weighs about 25-30 pound and tbh he ain't much use, he's alright in pipes but even when they've got loads of shite in the bottom he's limited, and gets stuck in most earths, you'd be better of just using the ones youve got now, because for the most part in my experience if a dog makes abit of noise and bays a fox will usually bolt from a pipe,

Cheers fd.
