My black and tan lakie pup has a few white wirey guard hairs on her also- I put it down to the bedlington in the blood of the Lakeland though not Russell. My old terrier man had a black fell and that had a white/grey rough coat all over it derived from bedlington in the mix. Cheers GK

show ponies mate a lakeland thats white is has russel in it but the showers will class them as a white lakeland

dont want to piss on your fire mate but thats a bit off the mark. back to front. show ponies will class them as russells. thats why the russell class is full of them.

when did you last see a white lakeland in the lakeland class.

uru check out the fell terrier. by d b plummer. .

if its white and it fits the russell standard its a russell. :D that is of course if its not allready a parson. :whistling: the parson mob would mark a dog down in the show ring if it had a twist to the guard hairs. beleaving this was due to lakeland influence. they tried there upmost to limit the amount of lakeland influence. they allso de registered a lot of terriers.

KENTAFOX being the main prefix hit. (the clue is in the name). the parson is however still riddled with lakeland blood and the best working. / show winning stock has a good bit of lakeland in it. also numerouse other breeds.

the lakeland is no different and has a fair amount of mixed blood running through it. the white not only from the russell but other breeds. also. the bull terrier and spaniel come to mind.

uru. if it walks like a duck and it quacks like duck. its a fcukin Duck

where do you draw the line. how much forien blood in a breed before it changes from one breed though crossbred to another breed :D half / three quarter/ one quarter.

i never see white lakies in crossbred. or in the lakie class. yet EVERYONE. insists on calling them a white fecking lakie. if you have a white lakie grow some and show it in the lakland class  would be good to see :victory:
