RossM 8,149
My mates father in law has taken up a passion for making walking sticks, so I have been handing along antlers and what not for him to make the top part off, well I saw him at the weekend and he insisted I go along and pick one for myself so along I went today and have to admit I was impressed with them and never thought it would be so difficult to pick one the right height and shape for my hand, anyway I picked this one and mentioned he should think about selling them, he said he would like to but he has no idea how to go about it, I mentioned eBay and he informed me he's about as much use on a computer as a one legged man in an arse kicking competition, so my mate is going to put them on eBay and I thought I would put the feelers out on here, thing is we have no idea. What something like these are worth any ideas? And any interest? Here's the one I picked

jonah. 775
get £20-30 notes for them if you get to the right audience... farmers markets, decent boot sales, village fete's / fairs. find a few pubs where lots of walkers go, stick a few behind the bar (offer the gaffer a free one) on sale or return. ebay's an idea, but like you said thing is with sticks when buying, you need to get a feel of it before you part with you cash. tend to find the old boys mainly go for a shorter stick, about thigh hight, somthing for them to lean on. nice sticks by the way
