Not too good on computers.... poster is very small... its on the 4th August... held in Leighlinbridge , co. Carlow

classes for American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire terriers, Irish Staffordshire bull terriers, KC type Staffordshire bull terriers, English Bull terriers.....

Irish Weight pull are having a weight pull competition which any breed can enter, they are also running a conformation show for American Bulldogs or you can check it out on facebook....

some of the rosettes and embroided collars being offered to the winners at the PITBULL CLUB show in old'leighlin, co Carlow this Saturday... Irish weight pull are also running a weight pulling compition for all breeds and conformation show for American Bulldogs and a classes for mix bulldogs.... also Belfast K9 are doing a man work display with their Staffords

Prizes of embroided collars / leads ... rosettes and trophys for pup, dog, and bitches for each of the following breeds

American Pit Bull Terriers

American Staffordshire Terriers

English Bull Terriers

KC type Staffordshire Bull terriers

Irish type Staffordshire bull terriers

We have the same prizes for (English) Bull terriers as the other 5 breeds...we know there will be a lot of APBT and Staffords... but English Bull Terrier will be there in small numbers ...so a good chance for any one with a nice one to pick up Best of Breed....

      It was rise and shine time on Sunday morning and just as dawn was breaking into daylight, we were on our way to our first dog show of the year. Very soon deep in the heart of the County Antrim countryside we arrived at the now famous Doagh Equestrian, and the venue for the annual “Keep er Lit “ dog show and what a day that was.  
      As usual the grass was immaculately cut with the show rings well spaced out and plenty of cold water for our precious canine friends on a very warm day 
      As the morning progressed into noon, cars and trailers with dogs in tow filled the field to capacity.  There was a very large crowd at this now very popular annual show.   The craic and the banter was in full swing among the huntsmen and women, after waving good bye to Mr Fox and his girlfriend of on their summer holidays.
      As I walked around the field I spoke to many of my canine friends of yester year. There was plenty of tea, coffee and chips on offer and Paul Boyd was there with everything you need in Country Sports gear. 
      Some great bargains was to be had in the  Equestrian shop on site with big discounts on offer on the day. I had to take control of my retail therapy when I got into the shop, otherwise I would off went home penniless.  
      When showing was complete, it was Raffle Time, and as usual the raffle generates a lot of excitement around the field, with some great prizes on offer. Time passes so quickly and very soon it was show time.

Your show was well organised, a roaring success, and a credit to all good sporting shows and a great window for Country Sports.  It was evident on the day a lot of hard work went on behind the scenes, with a heavy emphasis on our hard working dogs both in the field and in the ring, and to make this show so enjoyable for everybody on the day.  
      Leigh and Paddy, Thanks for the memory and I am already looking forward to more of the same in 2027.

      BY KIND PERMISSION FROM MR AJ TITTERINGTON  OF THE GREAT GAME FAIRS OF IRELAND AND THE 5 NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP ,IT HAS BEEN AGREED IN CONJUNCTION  WITH THE Mc GRATH RACING CLUB THAT THERE WILL BE A VETERN CHAMPIONSHIP FOR ALL BREEDS   7 YEARS  + THIS YEAR IN CARLOW AT THE 5 NATIONS CHAMPION SHOW ON SATURDAY  27th JUNE 2026.
       AJ TITTERINGTON IS SPONSORING THE TROPHY TO BE WON OUTRIGHT.
