Pork and beef mince?

Is pork and beef mince ok for ferrets. I've seen something about them not having pork but can't find anything conclusive.

Yeah its fine aslong as its nothing added to it. Just dont give em anything like bacon, ham etc cos it has

alot of salt innit.

 

I give mine chicken wings from supermarket. Chop each wing into 3 with secateurs and big pack feeds em for 3 days.

Yea I knew about ham and bacon. But see some site saying no pork?. I'd just got them some mince of pork and beef.

mine get the morrisons pork and beef mince when i have no "wild meat" for them along with chicken,fish,and anything else on the reduced section and had no problems so you should be fine with it mate

It's just because pork goes bad quick, but as long as they eat it fairly uickly it will be fine.

Yep same for me the reduced section any thing from trout too chicken legs

Put both into them and there fine , think it good management and removing it before it goes off rather than there allergic to it

i had a small hob come in a few weeks ago looking very sorry for himself after asking arouns i was told to give him some minced belly pork to get some fat and weight back on him he looks very good now.

Well they loved it.

I wish I could say the same for the chicken liver I got them.......unimpressed to say the least.

Fresh pork is fine. Its the processed and salted meat to avoid, of any kind.
