PLEDGEY 496
Avon and Somerset have a massive back log. I applied for a SGC. I already have a FAC so the FAO said it wouldn't be a problem but he did say they had a back log of paper work. He said it would be about 6 weeks. I am now into the 7th week of waiting, Thinking about giving them a call, but if they have a back log there doesn't seem much point. Just gonna' have to be patient. Quote Link to post
jmj121 30
I was amazed at the speed of TVP.... HAPPY DAYS Quote Link to post

I don't think you have anything to lose by calling. They are over stretched but if you are polite and ask if they have any idea when your ticket will be processed I'm sure it could help. I explained that if if took 8 weeks I would be on the middle of a shift pattern that meant I could not buy any guns until late September and mine came within 4 weeks. They are not bad people just over stretched so as long as you are understanding I'm sure most FEOs will be helpful. Quote Link to post

Still, I'm working away from tomorrow (Monday), so that'll take me mind off it . Quote Link to post
PLEDGEY 496
Been working away all week. Rang the wife on Wednesday and asked if i had any mail. ''Only one letter'' she said ''It's in a hand written brown envolope''. I tell her to go and get it and open it now..........''It's your shotgun certificate!''. It's Saturday tomorrow, so I'm off shopping Quote Link to post

PLEDGEY 496
what did you get ? I got a Winchester SX3 composite, a nice thick padded gun slip, a 12g cleaning kit and 250 29g No. 6 cartridges. Total came to £900 exactly. That was from Avalon Guns in Street Nr Glastonbury , Somerset. Came home and managed to fire it 6 times before it poured down with rain. I like it,,,,I like it a lot 8-) Quote Link to post
