I have some for finishing @ 80kg+ just comming for 10mth old. Ready @ 100kg+ or breed at 14mth old.

some in the chiller also for the table .

hi, If you are selling your weaners live at 80kilo, how come a full carcass dead weight you are selling is around 45kilo, unless figures are wrong.

Also are you supposed to have license to have pure wild boar?.

I used to keep boar myself, yes a licence is required, but easy to get if you have the right fencing up for them. Now im into the iron age pigs, they are wild boar/tamworth cross, very easy too keep, heavy rooters though so need space a plenty.

 

Do you sell weaners or just finishers? And would you breed me some iron age crosses for me to buy as weaners? I will take 6.

Weaners are 8-12 week old piglets, 12-14 month old are finishers like helmet pointed out.

That is what i was confused with ages and weights. I also breed and sell wild boar crossed with Duroc. Tamworth crosses can be fatty!

Fatty! How very dare you! My iron age pigs are lean and mean and make good eating! However I do like the duroc/boar cross, and would happily give them a try, are you in the UK?

as far as i am awear you need a holders licence for them we had a couple of pigs on the allotment and had to get a licence for them. was easy to get hold of but alot of agro from enviromental heath for the drainage of waste.

hi, yes in uk, we did have tamworths but were very fatty, compared to the Duroc. We normally sell either 1/2or full pig and we also can get them jointed.
