lurche 48
what and how often would you feed a 9 week old kit just picked her up yesturday fed her a small amount of dry ferret complete and some chicken 3 times today and seems starved each time even though she was only finishing off the last piece about an hour before i put the next lot in,is it possible to over feed or will they just eat what they want to and leave the rest. also is soya milk any use to them or no good as an alternative to lactose free milk or just water atb Quote Link to post
Tug 168
Free feed, same as you would an adult. Kit will eat more as they are growing still... Quote Link to post
patterdalejoel 669
as much rabbit and chicken as they can eat i what i fed, they loved a fresh carcass to tear into, no need to feed several times a day like a puppy i dont feel, just make sure the food isnt going rank so dont give to much Quote Link to post
lurche 48
just bung a leg in and remove the next mornin then,do you use any dry or just fresh Quote Link to post
charlie nelly1 142
just fresh meat mate, you'll soon start to learn how much she eats in a day, and as metioned above make that you dont put too much fodder in as it will soon go smelly! Quote Link to post

patterdalejoel 669
never used dry food, meat more natural and cheaper (free) in my eyes, don't think its needed as if with careful planning you can freeze portion big or small enough that you can defrost everyday. never used soya don't think its needed, don't have it in the wild, mine had meat from day one and i have a jill people mistake for a hob, so it wont stop their growth by not giving it to them. good luck.
