Michael5 2 Posted May 17, 2012 Report Share Posted May 17, 2012 At one of the areas I shoot at there is plenty of Woodpigeons but at this time of year there is plenty of greenery in the trees which they like to hide in , anyone got any tips for me to try and get a clear shot ? Millet 4,497 Posted May 17, 2012 Report Share Posted May 17, 2012 Tie some white bag's in the tree's..also tie some bag's on bamboo's and place them in the food field's you are not shooting..do it late on the day before you decoy your intended field..on the clover most grazing and silage field's are clover.. The one 8,611 Posted May 17, 2012 Report Share Posted May 17, 2012 Spend as much time as you can watching the flight lines mate .On one permission they fly over a grass field to get to a rape field and i put a big number of decoys out and that draws them off the flight line Quote Link to post

It will stop the pigeon's feeding in the tree's for a day or two thus making them hungry which in turn will give you a better chance of decoying them in a more shootable place.. Quote Link to post
