gonetoearth 5,144
dont compare eqipment to drugs man v man on equal terms , preperation is all to me and my fellow amature coaches drugs and the promotion of drugs to enhance the performance of the human body no thanks like you say were adults am anti drugs you seem to be pro , do you think bolt is on any and if so do you think he is hiding behind a clever masking system , , allso the risk factor does it exsist or are they safe , musle , heart, lungs, kidney, liver , yes you do what you want with your own body , but would you advise a kid to take drugs , inject or oral , to enhance his peformance IF there was RISK What benefit could a kid whos body has not even stopped growing possibly get from steroids ?.....no of course you wouldnt advise kids to take drugs.......if you think the worlds top athletes are clean as a whistle and have the same perfectly natural body they was born with you are either very naive or living in a dream world. For somebody who apparently spends time in gyms you dont seem to know a lot about whats going on in the world of sport.....i accept its not so prevalent in amature sport.....but this is a ruthless world we live in,if one top athlete knows his rival has an advantage you seriously think he,s not going to try to take that same advantage.....hence,its only an advantage if the opponent isnt doing the same. And i certainly wouldnt call todays scientific sports nutrition and the massive fields of research that are constantly going on,equipment....scientific sports nutrition isnt " equipment ".......even without drugs todays athletes are far superior to yesterdays....what you think they are still eating red meat and drinking raw eggs !!...times change mate,we have to move with the times or get left behind. FAR FROM IT BUD I HAVE KEPT UP WITH EVERY THING JUST HAS NO PLACE IN ABA BOXING AS I STATED I HAVE NO CONCERN TO WHAT PROS DO AND IAM FAR FROM NAIVE the world has changed yes and will carry on changing the creation of enhancing drugs in sport has been going on for years i take my stance as an aba coach simple as that not standing on a high horse or soap box , just my opinion , you or know one will ever change it , Edited May 1, 2012 by gonetoearth
gnasher16 31,558
big muscles still dont make you faster like saying if your arms are 21inch you can hit harder than a guy with 17inch biceps ive used many compounds and been into steroids for over 10years am i ashamed no i dont compete i do it for myself i dont advise people to use its an individual thing. nothing is safe but there are ways to do it that are safer. for the guy who mentioned EPO that is one vial drug that can lead to instant death. we all do drugs everyday beer is a drug how many of lads lads smoke on here? i can tell you now that over half the super league players are on HGH. All they have to do is stop spending money on silly displays in the events and they could afford to test every person.its all down to money. always sprinters that get picked up has there ever been anyvpower lifters get done for gear?what about the guys on the rings? If you have experience with juice you will know the difference between stacking for a bodybuilder and stacking for a sprinter, powerlifter or any other athlete ........Did Ben Johnson or Linford Christie physically look the same as when they was competing natural,no of course they didnt.....did they look like bodybuilders with huge muscles,no.............were they both banned for steroid use,yes........did they both run faster than they did when they was natural,yes.......... If there was no reward then why do it !

Physically they was both doing the same.......yes Lewis was using.....our Linford Christie got pushed up to a silver medal......and he was using as well !!!................Some folk are better organised and more knowledgeable than others.......Johnson was just a scapegoat thats all. gnasher16 31,558
If the guy is clean now that great let him do it i say,you can compete in natty comps in bodybuilding if you havent taken steroids in a six month period.after this time you are classed as a natty. Have you ever studied the bnbf banned substances list

gnasher16 31,558
Tomo.....The head of the American Olympic drug testing committe has said many times that only 1 in 6 athletes who tested positive recieved a ban....he used to call their anti doping program a " pr exercise "....... Lewis himself has admitted many times he failed tests. Just did a quick search Tomo....make your own mind up http://www.guardian....cs.duncanmackay Its a constant race between chemists and testers......but it certainly helps when your somebody of Lewis stature.....In my opinion that final at Seoul in 88 was probably the biggest cover up of which Johnson was shafted ! Gnash we know who is and who is not on the gear today's. Juice is streets ahead of even Lewis day but the end result remains the same and untill the change the metabolic structure of the human race any enhancing drugs will change the appearance of the user. Chambers has no chance of a medal so why compeat in the games , is it satisfy his ego or prove the people who had him banned wrong. Lynford has kept a low profile over this . Nothing can promote the gain that drugs provide I spoke at length to an ex body builder ex mr universe. His experiences. Made me think was it worth it the explosion of power exerted by world class sprinters is emence injury and recovery times are all important and the use of these drugs some times are their downfall , I went to a event were Gladys Portuguese. Was training her strength was amazing Her face and body showed the sighens of long term use Yes it looks great yes it can improve performance , just the the knowing its artificial what takes away the glory for me, bolt looks natural to me either a freak of nature or very very clever
gnasher16 31,558
Chambers has no chance of a medal so why compeat in the games , is it satisfy his ego or prove the people who had him banned wrong. Because over the last few years he has been the fastest sprinter in Britain.......simple !.....Should everyone stay at home whos unlikely to get a medal then ? Look we can argue the moralities of ped,s all day long they are here and anybody competing at the highest level of certain sports accepts that.......my point was you talk about steroids as cheating and artificial.....yet dont appear to have any problem with other scientifically researched products that aid performance...... Do you think Ayrton Senna would turn in his grave if he knew the advancements made in Formula 1....no he would embrace them........well in a sport that doesnt rely on equipment athletes still have to embrace advancements or they get left behind.......thats just life im afraid mate. WILF 50,428
Trouble will be with Chambers is, dont matter what he wins (if anything) the whole focus will be on the fact that he got caught doping. This will take the shine right off proceedings, I dont think its in this nations midset to get behind or gain any enjoyment from any victories he may have.....we as a country would rather see a bloke hobbling round with a broken leg and come last, the whole nation would get behind that bloke. jmho

Who let Ferdinand off two different offences I know any way lets agree to disagree

gnasher16 31,558
gonetoearth comparing amateur sport to professional is just silly really its like comparing sunday pub football to the premier league and saying they are the same we know in a romantic ideal world everyone competes on a level playing field but lifes just not like that its like anything it gets more serious, more intense and more sacrifices need to be made the higher you go......in anything not just sport..... I honestly admire your outlook.....and its a typical amateur sport outlook.....but when peoples livings and futures are on the line the heat is turned up im afraid.
