events co-ordinator 353 Posted April 30, 2012 Report Share Posted April 30, 2012 sounds like Tom has opened something on his computer and the Virus/Worm?trojan fires out emails using his address book as its legitimate way into your computer and address book somebody phoned my old man about this particular case. He told them to send it to him but his security would not let it open just make sure your security is up to date and if you don't know who sent it don't open it. We get one regularly from NI it seems to be when people don't use their computer for a while they need to be extra vigilant when clearing a backlog of emails. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

CNN said it is a new virus discovered recently and that has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. It is a Trojan Horse that asks you to install an adobe flash plug-in. Once you install it, it's all over. And there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. Then you haven't a clue how the 'net works !! c**ts can cause trouble just by typing !! Am I missing something??, you claim to know the guy and then you're asking if he's sending viral emails. As stated if you have to ask, you can't know him. Just an observation. I know Tom very well, I'm trying to make him aware that there is someone sending viral e-mails in his name...as this post proves, I'm not the only one to have got it ! On facebook there are a lot of others who have got this viral e-mail.... I doubt very much that Tom has instigated it, and want people to be aware of it !
