air gun ant 1,666
hi, i bought a pair of gold silkies of a member on here and love them to bits BUT! ive had a letter from the council about a noise complaint and think im gonna have to get rid of the cock, i really dont want to cull him so if anybody on here would like him he's free to a good home. he's a golden colour with deep purple bits on his face (can you tell ive not had chickens before?) fluffy right down to his feet and in tip top condition. Im in the north west (near lancaster) atb ant
milegajo 595
Noise complaint...get them to define what noise...music? traffic? love making? If it is the cock, then it shouldn't be an issue if he's crowing within reasonable hours. If the plaintiff feels he's not, then they need to document (and provide evidence) that he's not. I hate the way people don't talk to each other any more and just jump to the council. Spoke to a neighbourhood warden who agreed and attributed it, in her opinion, to a growing lack of tolerance in society. I agreed 100%
hugo1 31
if it is the cock just leave him locked in the dark and that should stop him crowing
