ftm 3,357
hi lads im sure we,ve all tried them "impossible shots" and pulled one or two off and the feeling is of great satisfaction ,well bear with me a little longer and i will tell you about a "perfect" shot i pulled off last night .Went for a mooch about on my ratting spot again last night, and very few rats about 1st one was nothing special 20 yds out on the muck pile and down it rolled with an accupel lodged in its head ,i saw nothing for ages and went for a wander down to the duck pond and just stood there watching the world go by [relaxing] any way walked back up to my 1st rat location and spotted movement a fair distance out so lookined through the scopes and saw it was a rat -didnt look any thing special just a rat ,it was a good 35 yds away facing me and eating something so i thought this would be a nice shot to end the evening ,i steadied myself and placed the cross hairs just a little above its skull in the thought that if i missed its head i would smash its spine as it was in the hunched position gently squeazed the trigger and heard the smack of the pellet hitting home but on checking through scope the rat looked like it was still in the perfect position ,i knew i had hit it so slowly walked up to it and what a shot! and what a rat! i smiled to myself as i inspected it the pellet had hit the bullseye .Now ive taken things from further away but i felt good about this shot lads and what a big fxcker it was too it measured 18 inches head to tail Quote Link to post
