Firearm renewal

Recommended Posts

I am just filling in the forms for firearms renewal again, I can never remember all the bits . Question I have is I have listed my rifles and am going to add my air rifle on at the same time so its £50 for the two, but is there a fee for the variation for the air rifle. Theres nothing about fees for this.

if you want to add anything its a variation, the only time you can do multiples is upon inital application

I just had a look on there web site and found this.

Variation of certificate (other than when it is renewed

at the same time) to increase the number of firearms

to which the certificate relates

£26

So am I reading it right is that saying no fee if I do it at renewal time. I do wish poeple would talk leeroy.

A variation is normally used to add to your FAC or change what weapons are currently held on it during its five year term.

At renewal, you can add what weapons you like,

The variation and fee is used to cover the office costs but seen as the certificate is in anyway for renewal, there is no extra fee incurred providing you have good reason.

Plus the renewal fee is only £40 ;)

SS
