Ray Mears 272
well i have been working hard with the whippet x (for rabbiting) shes has been coming on quite good.. cathing every night i take her out well more or less. but the past few months there has been a increase in foxes they seem to be everywere. but with the dog i have now will take fox on her own but takes a fair bit of stick in doing so.. so i was thinking what other dog could i get that that will catch rabbits and a few foxes i was thinking 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie... should be a good allrounder. i was also thinking a bull x but arent quite sure on that one yet any help would be great and does anyone know a breeder apart from hancock that does this type of breed in the midlands area? nothing agenst the bloke just want to look around before i pick one good luck and all the best whippet boy Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
My collie crosses both did fox but not as good as a bull cross or my deerhound cross. how about a deerhound x, the 3/4 breds are fast and will do fox, rabbit etc.down side mine was very greyhoundy and had bad feet but more deerhound in the mix would cure that Quote Link to post
