CallumDonohoe 65
just a few photos of my pup at different stages 3 month this is when i got her 4 ish month i think she looks abit skinny in pic but its just the way she is breathing 5 or 6 month 7 month lady chilling most up to date lady 8 month old her chest doesnt look very deep on pic but its just the angle i have taken the photo ive had her out a few times with my other dog lamping just to watch but on tuesday night a thought i would let her have a run on a rabbit it was here very first rabbit she has chased day or night.i seen a rabbit out from the corner of the field about 60 yards trying to hide behind a 2 ft high raised man holethe pup couldnt see the rabbit she was just sniffing about the floor so i slowly walked towards the rabbit i got to within 15 yards before it jumped up and made for the fence the pup hadnt seen it take off for about a second or 2 then she was off chasing it towards the corner where we had entered the field but lady had put to much pressure on this rabbit and decided not to got under the wooden fence but run along side it i could see lady was hesitating to strike as she could have taking it a few strides ago but she eventually just dived head first on to it doing a couple of flips with the rabbit in her mouth she got up trying to change her grip letting the rabbit go but quickly catching it again then bringing it back to me with her head held high saying look what i caught lol i was chuffed a let her sleep in my bed that night ha. i will start to bring her on once she is 12month as letting her run at her age can damage ligaments muscles etc. quick question what kind of work load could i give her once she is a year would once a week lamping with about 4 or 5 runs be enough gradually building her up as the season goes on be nice to know what is enough and what is too much until she is 2 taking into consideration she is just a whippet greyhound not a collie or saluki x thanks for any reply's 1 Quote Link to post
