Phantom 631
Different weights are due to pellet design, some pellets have more metal in them than others, for instance the Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum in .177 is a heavy pellet at 10.5 grain, Air Arms Field are 8.4 grains, 2.1 grains different! The heavy weight pellet works well, but because of the weight has a more curved flight path than a medium (AA) or light weight pellet! Grains are an old imperial measurement it was based on the average weight of a grain of wheat! You sure about the weights Mike? I've been using AAF's in .22 and they are 15.9grain The CPUM's also in .22 are 14.3grain And as such are lighter than the AA's Tony Quote Link to post
