border terriers

Recommended Posts

a friend of mine recently acquired a border terrier about 4yrs old,and a few weeks ago

he said it had some sort of fit during his sleep, don't know what caused it,so was wondering

if any one with experience or knowledge of borders can help,is there any genetic fault responsible for it

or are these fits common within the breed? Thanks,

Higgins.

yes he took it to the vets but i don't think any explanation was given for it,but what happened

was that the dog was sleeping, then all of a sudden it stood up with back arched, and wasn't steady on it's feet, also had a 'glazed expression',my friend said it was as though he was looking through me,i believe

he said the dog was unsteady on it's feet as if it was like a new born calf is when trying to stand for it's first time, hope this helps,

Higgins.
