AndyH 52
I've got an SMK 19-18, and due to money being rather tight, I can't afford to buy something decent at the moment. I'm fed up of the spring clanging like a church bell every time I fire it, and the trigger leaves a hell of a lot to be desired. I was wondering if its worth using the Woodfield tuning kit, upgrading the spring & seals etc, and sticking one of their triggers on it, or should I not bother & carry on saving up for something better in the future? Cheers. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Save and get something better, you can pick up some nice guns at not too much money if you look around. Don't just look on forums, google what you are looking for, be prepared to travel and keep your eyes and ears open! Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
If you want to stick with it for a while, open it up, degrease (if there is any inside) and relube that will sort out the twang for you. I'm just getting back into using my xs19 after a long time not using her, and she's performing pretty darn well. Tony Quote Link to post
AndyH 52
Cheers, will strip it down & give it a good lubing, see how it does. I'm trying to find a manual for it too, as I can't for the life of me work out how to adjust the trigger pull (I'm a techno retard...) Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Forgot about this thread, cheers Wurz, My 19 has the trigger adjustment screw right behind the trigger, between the trigger blade and the screw that holds the ass end of the action into place. Tony Quote Link to post
