Any technical questions .......... not sure if you know but there is a senior Apple technician on here ;)

Just pm Moo, he's a top lad

He's always been spot on with me when I've wanted to know stuff about Ipod/pad/phone and mac.

Not sure if he minds his name on here, I'll edit it out if he does.

The iPad 3 has got the new retina screen which is brighter and has better definition than the 2. Battery life is slightly shorter than the 2 and it weighs slightly more and is slightly thicker. The 3 has a more powerful processor, but all the extra power goes into running the higher resolution screen so in real use it's no different. I've just bought the 2 and it's a cracking bit of kit. My daughter's got the newest generation of iPod touch which has the retina screen, and if I'm honest the screen does look better. The 3 isn't something I would rush out and buy now I have the 2, it's not that much of an upgrade. This time next year the iPad 3s or something slightly better will be out and it will be gobbled up and wanked upon by apple fanatics who tell you that you simply must upgrade or be left behind.. Like scothunter said, they are offering a good discount on the 2 now..

Have you tried upgrading the operating system? I can't really comment on the 3 because I don't know anyone who's got one..
