Irish Lurcher 1,013
Here’s one for ye to put in ur pipe and smoke it. Would banning show ponies be beneficial to the fair on the whole, i.e., would more working lads attend if the ponies were to be banned altogether. Reason I ask is that there is a show that I really look forward to attending each year and not a pony in sight. And the lads turn out in good numbers with proper working dogs. Carraghs Gem 1,714
how would ye put a ban in place though?
pernod 466
I think shows need as much people in attendance as possible, so i dont think that would be a route many organisers would go down. All you have to remember is that it is foremost a day out and a chance to sometimes meet genuine lads. I havnt been to one for a few years, but i always thought that watching the 'showers' antics with their dogs were fc*ing hilarious, well worth the entrance fee alone.
