They look trippy them Steven, i've just bought a pregnant polecat on Thursday which is due 2nd May. She is a really dark jill and the hob is meant to be almost black! Me mate bought a hob, 2 pregnant jills, box and collars, nets an the hutches of an old man that had the same strain of polecats for the last 50 years!!

Between you and your mate, with the good dogs and ferrets, you will be having sum fun. :clapper::D

my 2 jills are due to pop this week. they don't look too big though, so i'm just hoping the old hob did the business ;)

one is almost certainly pregnant, she's getting nippy, a bit rounder, and her & the hob seemed to shag non-stop for the 3 days they were together. the other jill, i'm not so sure about, all her & the hob did for 3 days was try to escape

oh well, fingers crossed :D

My jill had her first litter last night (14th may)! :thumbs-up: Cant count them though as the way shes fashioned her nest I would have to lift a "lid" to have a look at them and dont want to spook the jill into eating them by interfering.

Plenty of squeeks coming from the nest though, especially when the jills away so im assuming (hoping) they're all healthy! And the jill seems her usual self, not nippy or eratic or anything and still craves attention when I open the hutch.

Incidentally does anyone have any idea when its ok to pry about the nest for a head count?

Cheers :drink:
