indeed, i also shoot a .223 and love it, BUT its all about shot calculation. i once had a guy out with me on my shoot and he kept insisting that the shot he was about to take was a safe one, i asked him if i could look at the shot and was discusted by what i saw, charlie was sat on a bank with a town as the back stop needless to say, he has not come back since we had words

Not a nice situation to be In,it' makes you realise how easy it is for accidents to happen mate,it should never be though if safety is paramount,ya do right keeping him away after that incident, i would have done the same as towns,cars and the old lady walking a yorkshire terrier don't make ideal back stops lol
