Wanted People who hunt in Lanarkshire/Glasgow

Hi, I hope this is in the right section...

 

I have been looking for a long time for someone near me who hunts, and have their 'prey' for sale relatively cheaply. I am looking for just about anything to feed my dog (the only 'game' meat he has tried is rabbit, but I am willing to try him on anything). Obviously some animals only have certain times of the year that they are allowed to be killed so I know they won't be available all the time. He is on a raw diet, but the only meats I can get him is the bog standard chicken, beef, lamb and turkey (I can get pork too but he doesn't like that) so would like some more to provide him some variety and make things more interesting for him.

 

So, does this fit anyone who lives/hunts in the Lanarkshire/Glasgow area of Scotland?

Hi there,

 

If your feeding your dog on chicken, beef, lamb and turkey, you wont go far wrong, just mix with some veg, biscuits etc.

Exactly what type of prey are you after?????

Yeah, I know he is ok getting just those meats and he has been getting them for two years. I don't add any veg or biscuits though, just green tripe, he is doing amazing on the diet. I just like to give him that wee bit more variety and let him have some different tastes... I was just looking for things like rabbits, pheasant etc.

Feeding raw rabbit you must freeze it for three weeks to kill parasitic worms, what kind of dog is it the pheasant seasons done now any way.You didnt say if you were feeding whole with gut and feathers /fur.
