tegater 789 Posted February 14, 2012 Report Share Posted February 14, 2012 20 is lighter, easier to carry around if rough shooting and for most genral shooting will do everything a 12 will. 23 gram carts are a dream to shoot with and have the pattern for woodies and rabbits at 30-35 metres. Having said that alot shoot with 28/30 gr. I nearly always go for the 20 or 28 bore over the 12, with the exception of fox drives and geese. Quote Link to post

Simonrees 45 Posted February 14, 2012 Report Share Posted February 14, 2012 I would agree with the above I have a Hatsan 3 shot semi in 20 gauge, it took a while to find a good cartridge that would recycle 100% but its a great gun which I use for everything except Woodcock and thats only because they deserve to be shot with a more traditional gun! 1 Quote Link to post
