StevoSmith 147
Ok now im no expert but i have heard been said that you can train almost any dog to do anything....Now i know you get some dog's who will just ignore you and just lie about but i was wondering if it would be possible to teach an Alaskan Malamute to retrive? As some of you know this is a large powerful breed which has very stubborn tendecies...yet i have heard storys of MalamutexGSD retriving and flushing....this could be down to the GSD i susspect....so really i just want to know as im a complete novice and know not alot(to quote paul daniels) on this subject thanks for taking time to read this post ATB Stevo This is my Sha'sta he is 20 months old He thinks himself a bit of a running dog though....love's chasing the bunnies gets close but they just to agile for him lol....dont have the heart to tell him he's got no chance lol Edited February 2, 2012 by StevoSmith 1 Quote Link to post
BEARINATOR 2,928
Stevo, you should be able to train it but it's training should of started when it's younger. My mate uses a gsd x greyhound for retrieving as well as it being a normal runner Quote Link to post
