Sounds very interesting Wurz, look forward to seeing your progress buddy. Could you not cover the Walnut stock in Bees Wax and use it for the template / mould / Bill. Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 793
thats my last resort bill, cos it'll be a git to clean up afterwards, but if i have to then so be it!! Quote Link to post

andyfr1968 772
Wurz, if you need to use your walnut stock as a mould lightly coat it with silicon grease first and whatever you use (within reason!!) won't stick and the silicon will not damage or stain the wood Sounds interesting, mate, good luck!! gurtwurz 793
cheers andy, i'll bear that in mind mate. the only problem i can see apart from minging up my stock is getting the weight of the new one right, as i dont want a lightweight version, hence really why we're doing it as a stutzen, so theres a bit extra up front weightwise, and i'll lose the scooped out bit on the offside of the monte carlo stock in order to maintain the center of balance as it is now. gonna start it after the next leg of the southern hunters comp, in a couple of weeks. cheers, wurz Quote Link to post
