Any idea what this kid Ravel Morrison is like ? i know he only played handful of first team games but was he well thought of or not ?.....bit of a trouble maker so im told had a few court cases and what not......judging by the diabolical 5 - 1 defeat i saw my lot take tonight if he can run and kick a ball at the same time he,ll be guarenteed first team football :censored:

Just cant imagine Fergie would of let the kid go if he,d been in his future plans...................but anyway its refreshing to see West Ham nick a youngster off Utd for once instead of the other way round.

he's a troubled young lad,im led to believe,i dont know the reasons but being brought up in wythenshawe is enough to trouble anyone  but hopefully big sam will straighten him out an turn him into the world beater he could be  and then we can buy him back :thumbs:

Very talented kid but lots of baggage and off field problems. If Sam can get him straight, he'll be a hell of a player & a very good signing. Maybe the change of scenery will do him the world of good.

there's a few clips of the lad on youtube Gnash, a definite talent no doubt about it. he's been a bit wayward but I think the lad will come good and prove all his critics wrong, he's a lad so I can't condemn him for being rebelious a few times....

think when a player falls foul of Fergie he is out wether he is talented or not  , the policy stinks as this lad probably just needed a arm around his shoulder and a bit of guidence.

a star buy Gnash no doubt about it ...........

I think it was more his contract demands that did for him mate. If there's one thing that Fergie can't abide it's a player with a inflated sense of self worth, ask Beckham! I read the lad & his agent were making all sorts of unrealistic demands considering the stage of development he was at...:thumbs:

You could be right there Malt but Rooney got away with it last year with his extortionate wage demands. think the manager has always had his favourites who he will deal with and others like Jaap Stam who fell out with him once was outed pronto, this guy was also a cracking defender at the top of his game....

you would think the manager would be bigger than this and put aside any fall outs for the sake of the team  .....

I didn't think much about that sorry episode Jasp, but the difference was that Rooney's an established & proven first team regular. The club has always rewarded the successful and the proven, and at the stage he was at in his career Morrison was neither as yet. I'm all for rewarding success on the pitch, but I think you'd start an unwanted precedent if you started rewarding purely on potential at a similar rate to established first team players. Look at Welbeck this season, he's played well and has been rewarded for it with a huge pay rise. He's been at the club for years, been out on loan a few times & patiently waited for his chance when he came back to the club.

JMO..

Thing is he was a small time player in a big time club.......now thats reversed he might come good..............

If this kid Morrison turns out out to be the big name players Ince,Ferdinand Carrick and the like were then it may start to repay the debt some of these " big time clubs " owes this " small time club " ;) .....but i doubt it.

And as regards the kids wage demands at Utd Malt/Jasp.......he is reportedly on the same 12 grand per week he was getting at Utd.....BUT.....added into his contract the agreement that it will go up towards 65 grand depending on promotion and a certain amount of games per season played :icon_eek: ....

If this is not a recipe to all end in tears i dont know what is !

could well be Gnash. aparantly his agent is the one doing alot of the negotiating which doesn't always seem good for the lad...

No doubt he has been a bit rebelious but he looks a massive talent in the making. or should I say he was when I saw some clips of him playing in the Man U youth team. think he'll prove his critics wrong and have people asking questions why Fergie didn't give him more time....
