Pure Deerhound vs pure saluki

For the people who have owned these pure breeds which would you say would you say was fastest between the two overall?

I've owned and ran my own pure ardkinglass deerhound, and also my own salukis, the salukis were faster,

Cheers mate, was there much in it? I can imagine the saluki is quicker on the turn than the larger deerhounds but what about the smaller ones?

At one time yes - think it was the dava one they used to do it at,

am sure thouse who are on hear with a lot more info on it will be able to say.

 

In this day and age it has to be the saluki whos fastest, although if im honist ive never yet seen my deerhound

kick in to that extra gear, she always holds back.
