New forum for an old gun

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

Just joined as i am needing advice on my Wehiruch HW 35 air rifle and anyone who seems to know anything about air rifles in on here.

Had this brake barrel since i was a kid (obviously used under supervision untill legal age) it has open sights and i was thinking of putting a scope on it for more accurate distance rat & rabbiting.

Is it advisable to put a scope on a break barrel? And if so what scope would you advise? Bearing in mind i don't want to spend a fortune but do want something worth putting on the old faithfull.

Or should I leave the HW 35 as it is and go for something newer? I quite fancy a multi shot one with an air bottle (excuse me if my terminoligy is not correct) if so what is good value for money? Obviously i would want sensible quality but not break the bank.

Think that's enough for a first post.

Greatfull of any advice.

Thanks

Welcome to the site, any scope will do for a break barrel but dampa mounts are a advantage. Either a fixed zoom or variable and for low light shooting a 40mm front lens or above will do. Have a look at the hawke range of scopes as they do some reasonable priced models
