gas ram down on power ?

Hi folks a friend of mine has a HW 90 Gas ramed rifle he bought it second hand he has used it a few times but seems to think its down on power to his Bsa Airsporter he hasnt taken it to a gun smiths as he works mega long hours he asked me if the ram can be pumped up if it is down on power as i have a pump for my Theoben Scirroco only this does not fit the fitting on his ram is it possible to buy fittings to fit it to bring it back up to power cheers guy is it possible for a gas ram to be down on power as i had a gas ram Scirroco for years with out trouble

If you over load a 12ft-lb gas ram you will burn the piston crown. For FAC rifles they use a totally different internal set up with different seals and a different piston.

 

This is one of the reasons so many gas rams get trouble, people over pressurise them and do damage. My Theoben gas rams are 1986, 1995, 1996 and 2001 respectively an dnone of them have ever given any trouble - I think because I just leave them alone and use them.

 

Most problems are caused by the nut that joins the sight to the trigger. :victory:

yeah , the reason why hes put it down, he didnt mean to pump it up ridicolous amount at first, didn know how many times to pump, thats why he re-adjusted it a good few times
