Elmer_Fudd 28
thanks, appreciated mate i just got a new permission which is full of rats lol Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
I use what you use in my Mrs Ultra, AA Fields. Very accurate in her barrel and are very good on vermin. Try to think accuracy first buddy before shape of pellet. The reason i say this is it doesn't matter what shape or size of lead you aim at the brain, if done correctly and accurately the vermin will go over. If your shooting inaccurate and out of your capabilities and the pellet is impacting all over then that's where your problems will start and wounding shots will be caused. For body shots ie heart and lungs a bigger calibre or a pellet that deforms easily on impact works better. If you can get some RWS Super H Points and they shoot accurately through your barrel and if shooting rats I'd say pellet on pellet at around 12 to 15 yards I'd use them buddy. If not stick with what works best now. Atb Si. Edited January 8, 2012 by zini Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
A pellet I have found to be very accurate, very good quality (not found an unusable one yet) and well priced are Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums! I have run these through BSA and HW barrels, very accurate grouping! Good delivery of power too! Edited January 8, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post

Sweeney-Todd 208
Hi Gaz. Second vote here for Defients 5.52s nice clean pellet, also JSB Exacts...again 5.52s. Have to say, not as many damaged in the difients as there are in JSBs. Bill. Quote Link to post

Sweeney-Todd 208
Hello Bill, Thanks for this mate all help welcome you shoot a bsa your self? regards Gareth Hi Gareth. Yes I do mate, lucky to have 3 BSAs... Ultra Multi in .22..... Scorpian SE again in .22...... and a lovely SuperTen BBK also in .22 All three have been to John Bowkett to have tuning work done on them, and Blueprinting. After his care and attention, they all perform faultlessly, very pleased with them. ATB. Bill. Edited January 10, 2012 by Sweeney-Todd Quote Link to post
