lamping lad 96
Hi everyone, I have got a webley raider 10 which I have acquired recently. The first couple of day's not a problem with gun, managing to get pellet on pellet. Well I filled the gun back up, and took some shot's every shot was hitting low by like a foot!!! so i took the silencer off, took a shot dead on! Took the gun back to the shop he had some shots with it, but didn't show me the target! He assured me it was fine, tried it when I got home exact same problem as before!! If any one can help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. 1 Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
When you fill your gun to say to 190 bar it has less power than when the gun is down to 140 bar say.At 190 bar the gun is at the start of its power curve at 140 bar it is at the top of power curve.SO that may give a different piont of impact .So only fill gun to 150 bar and refill at 120 bar ,guns differ this is an exaple. Also silencer on and of can give a different piont of impact the weight of the silencer will give a different harmonic to the barrel when you shoot.I feel your original drop was due to a loss of power after fill and the impact piont rise was due to musel flip due to no weight of silencer.I could be wrong. 1 Quote Link to post
spot.me.in.the.dark 5
one of my friends struggeled with a silencer the problem was the pelets where catching the inside lip of the silencer... we only found out the problem when he fired a shot and the silencer end and its insides where fired 15 yards down from the hide !! davyt63 1,845
HI BUDDY if your silencer has an adapter with grub screws, then here is what you do! loosen the grub screws and give it a 1/4 turn, tighten back up and take a 5 shot group at your desired zero range! repeat the process in 1/4 turns until its back in the position where you started! make sure you loosen and tighten back up each turn though if your groups are not any better then,it may be clipping your silencer! if it is ditch the silencer and get a MKII Twink. PM me for details regards Davy Quote Link to post

lamping lad 96
if i had only just bought the gun i would just take it back Yeah i have done mate, but the bloke said it was fine and didn't show me his groupings. Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
id take it back, if youve done this twice, he is obviously pulling the wool over your eyes, he might not be, but to me it sounds like hes doing so, i wouldnt say much if at first it was crap groupings, but you said they were pellet on pellet, and now for some reason its not, just by filling it, and he thinks its fine, id still take it back, and the more you mess with it, itl void your warranty mate, atb Quote Link to post

The Duncan 802
Check the exit point on the silencer for any lead marks that indicate pellets are clipping it first. And don't take any more shit from the gunshop either Quote Link to post

The Duncan 802
All good mate. Hitting the squirrels, occasional pigeon, rabbits here and there, the odd pheasant when I get the opportunity. Pup is doing very well - really pleased with her Quote Link to post
