wirral countryman 2,110 Posted January 1, 2012 Report Share Posted January 1, 2012 11's a great age for your first dog,I hassled my mum and dad for years till I was 11,me and my younger brother used to kidnap all sorts of local dogs to take rabbitting and ratting,got my first running dog at 11,I'm now 53yrs and still love it,that first dog taught me more than I ever taught him,he was a first cross collie/grey,my lads got their first lurcher of their own at 11,plenty of basic training,obedience,jumping,etc kids love it,good luck mate and I hope you have as much fun as we have,my youngest is 22yrs now and a good dogman in his own right now,ATB,WM Quote Link to post
