matt_hooks 188 Posted December 30, 2011 Report Share Posted December 30, 2011 The slugs need to be on FAC, but the shotgun doesn't. Generally any shotgun can fire a slug. Some slugs require an open choke whereas others have fins which allow them to pass through a tighter choke. There are a few reasons for using slugs, though generally I'd agree that a rifle in the proper calibre is a better bet. Quote Link to post
