Whin might have a point..do we have the dogmen to capitalise on the raw imports, you cant just keep on importing and importing thinking that that will solve any issues or problems, work with what you have first and get some useful lines established surely..just importing one after another; animals that are considered to be good dogs is fine, but thats where it stops without people who know what to do with them

iWOULD SAY at a guess we have some fare tools in the pure saluki in the uk , the gene pool may be tight in the pure , to much emphasis can be put on pure pure ,the very best has we know for open field coursing has been the crossbred type lurcher . out crossing ,once to whatever for the strength of the breed type ,which should be field work has we know it aint a bad thing to go down . just my thoughts .atb bunnys.

just to put your mind at ease whin ,i did not import a saluki for the good or bad of the uk saluki fancier ..i did it for myself .if i ever breed from her they will not end up in the dog pound or a rescue centre , so no need for you to fret about that .and by the way i know a good few people in the states that have met you , and find you very amusing ,,,, thats all they think !!!.

good but thats nowt to do with hunting and bettering blood , my old mate over there has run cross breeds and one the grand course 2 or 3 times a big feat and there the odd saluks that do well on the deset ground ,rio hog if a dog cant do it or not been tested it aint worth talikng about importing breeding etc why not get sperm of dogs saluks who actaly do cacth hard jack rabbits like chris mason had a good dog woman , she is no slouch , the americans are not apatch on our soursing hounds cross breeeds especaily some have never cayt a jack rabbit in 3 seasons , there real good hunters not , my mate had 51 last season n daylite , if they thought about hunting first then dog they would soon come on as ahunting dog not a show piece etc

im being serous ive saw guys checking there piont system with the saluks after my mates judged them ,they more they go the more pionts , so a better standing to have a daul winner coursing or show , winner its a a farce ,the only good thing at least there dogs get exersise , then there gals like chris mason who is hard headed but a good hunter gets her dogs fit and runs them were ever there a few others but not as keen, when they tip there dogsout the car its let the boys out or girls first i shake my head as there dogs not humans lol alot get galgos know as they run abit better than saluks but that life , i can back anything i say rio hog
