Irish Lurcher 1,013
To be honest I got mine done before you came on, vet told me no probs at all. She is flying at the moment on everything. Quote Link to post
Dawn B 212
If you can, let her have a season first, its not essential, but it is preferred by most vets. Dawn. Quote Link to post

Dawn. is that from a hormone point of view,ie should she be allowed to mature first. I've just got a bitch back from my last litter(owners getting devorced). She was spayed before she came into season (at 9 months) and she doesn't seem top have filled out much at the front like the other pups in the litter. I believe this is due to her being speyed before her first season. If i was you mate i'd wait for her to have her first season Pup with the Dam Quote Link to post
Dawn B 212
Yes she will be physically mature. Its not essential and I dont believe spaying early (although I wouldnt do it) has any detremental effect on the dog. Dawn. Quote Link to post
collie/grey 238
Let your bitch have a season first, then wait 3 months after she has finished then get her done. Her hormones will be back to normal and she will have matured by then. Quote Link to post
