19powell90 89
Depends what you are using it for. You need a red filter for rabbits so the output of this with a red filter would be poor. If i was you i would buy a sonyhandycam with nightshot function approx £100 and then get a ir illumintor £100 and then you have nightvision and you will be smashing the rabbits Or have a look at my past posts. For a cheap but worthy lamping set up you will not be dissapointed Scott Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
i have the 1200 lumen tri star mate, its good but you do need to put a filter on for bunnies as it scares them away, and you can see the rabbits , well i could anyway, upto 35 yrds away but depending on you as a person, you mite like to take shots beyond this, but i dont see any neeed to, aslong as your not heavy footed lol the build quality relatively good, stucture wise, but i had a few problems with my wiring..and took it back, and had a new one, but working fine..and before that i had the ledray tac torch, but took that back for the 1200 lumen.the battery lasts forever..more than 8hrs they say, i reckon..but if i dont use filter i dim the switch..and full beam when filtered. in all fairness though, im looking at what powell has just said about the handy cam etc..have a look at zinis post about it on youtube..its pretty damn good mate. atb with your selection mate robbo Quote Link to post

robwelsh 354
i say about 10-20 % stay just about long enough for a shot on the dimmed beem..the filter does help them stay there longer, about %...and for £7.95 for a red filter, it isnt the end of the world if it doesnt work.. not everything that works for one person works for another ..
