Canadian Black Bears 23
This is a must try for everyone if you get the opportunity to try bear meat. - Ensure all fat is trimmed off the steaks and scrape the steak with a sharp knife to remove any fat residue. - Using approximately 4 lbs of steak, cut it in cubes, and again cut any excess fat away from the meat and de-bone the steak. - Take 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon onion powder, and 1/2 cup of worchestershire sauce and mix all together. Put the meat in a bowl, put the mixtures in with the meat, and ensure evenly distibuted throughout the cubes of meat. Cover and keep refridgerated a minimum 12 hours. Ensure frying pan is hot with a small amount of oil added prior to putting the mixture in it. Stir fry for approximately 5 minutes adding mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. The end result delicious!!

Canadian Black Bears 23
can we get bear meat in the UK. Be real careful when getting bear meat from a 3rd party as a bear has to be capped as soon as it is shot, all the fat has to be removed as soon as possible, again, before butchering, and packaging. As well, prior to cooking, the meat has to be scraped to get the fat off it. Bear fat is absolutely gross and I would never take bear meat from another person as you never know how it was prepared in the field or when butchered. It could give you a very poor opinion of how bear meat taste. I guess it is like any game, proper preparation and talking to someone who knows is the key. I can honestly say bear meat is my favorite game to eat and is a big hit when myself and my buddies, or should I say my mates, have deer camp as deer season is just after bear season. Good luck guys with finding some bear and if you find it, ensure you get all the fat taken off prior to trying this recipie. Cheers and safe hunting Rob

Canadian Black Bears 23
I have tried bear meat in sausage form. was good.any of you guys over there hunt with the bow? Yeah, I have all my tree stands set up for bow hunters, all bow stands are less than 25 yards. There is a lot more interest in bow hunting black bears than there is rifle hunting. Canadian Black Bears 23
I have tried bear meat in sausage form. was good.any of you guys over there hunt with the bow? Cbb av you any pics of hunting bear nice to see what game you hunt and how you hunt it? Here are a few pictures from this year of some record size black bears. You can also check some out on my web page at www.blackbearoutfitters.ca You hunt from double man tree stands, 15.5-17.5 feet high and only 25 yards (bows) away from a bait site. The trick is to outsmart the bears to get them coming as their smelling is twice as good as any deer. It's real tough to ensure as my guest hunters have a different smell than my own and a black bear is very cautious around any bait sites. The slightest move catches their eyes even though their eye sight is not so good; however, they almost always stand on thier back legs...very, very impressive animals. Sorry about the pics but I don't know how to reduce thye size. Cheers and safe hunting Rob
