Strong Stuff 2,171
Ray, if you've got a Sports World on your local retail park, go and have a look there, they have Karrimor boots there that will do you, and they aren't stupid prices like the more serious hunting boots. Plenty of wax on them and they'll be fine for general mooching am sure.
LolaPat 49
I have the said karrimor's for work! Had them about a year now and there doing good. They also have a sole on a sole so when the sole started to flap about there was a brand new one underneath!
Caravan Monster 323
They're socks, not boots, but work very well if cold or wet feet are a problem. With wellies, they keep feet particularly toasty British Army Surplus MVP Waterproof Socks

I wear them with Inov8 trainers when hill walking. http://www.inov-8.com/Products.asp?PG=PG1&L=26 One thing to consider with Gore-tex type boots/shoes is that if you do get water in them, it's not going to get out. So wet feet all day.
