chris k 205
hello happy people. need some help. getting home from work and im unable to go hunting due to the lack of light which only gives me weekends (and there hit or miss) so im thinking of getting a scope lamp but im in unfamiliar ground here as ive never done lamping before. can anyone recommend a small but decent scope lamp? also maybe a scope as i think my hawk sport isnt up to the job but not sure. any help is much appreciated Edited December 16, 2011 by chris k Quote Link to post
BEARINATOR 2,924
I used to use 1 of these http://www.deben.com/tracer-gun-lights/tracer-ledray-gl2-gun-light.html ideal for air rifles, what sort of scope are you using? I prefer the 50mm front lens for lamping with it letting more light in 1 Quote Link to post

robwelsh 354
i had a tactical deben torch, 130 quid, i ended up taking it back and swapping it for deben tracer 1200 lumen, 130 quid aswell, the whole thing is light as,,,and the battery flows up to 8hrs full beam (has a flick dimmer) and just clips on and off your scope, iv had 3-9x40, 3-10x44, and 3-9x 50 hawke scopes, and not noticed any diffrence in the night, other than when you look at the scope lol and the weight..IR scopes help abit, but find it pointless having them go so bright, its just glares the scope 1 Quote Link to post

I use it over my deben max. I dont know if you know this mate but you preferably need a red light for lamping so the deben led torchs are far too expensive for a useless bright white light that when you put a red filter on you can see f**k all. The set up i have is great but you do need that lens and some spare batterys. Scott Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
i have deben 1200 lumen, iv had the tactical torches, soooo. ...what batteries do you need and how do you get lense's? see in the pic that your "torch" IS brighter, or seems brighter,(than the torch i had) hopefully its a "click on" click off" torch, not a sensitive thing, i hated it.
