Restaurant give babies bleach....FFS!!!

Recommended Posts

“mistook a jug of fluid used to clean the drinks pipes for water”

Well to play devil’s advocate I can see how an honest mistake can happen. It isn’t as if they unscrewed a bottle of thick bleach, but why they filled a child’s water bottle from a random jug is a bit weird either way…

scary thing is, if it wasn't bleach no one would ever know! if it had been sitting there for days, or had been used to clean the sides or something the kids might have had the shits for a couple of days but they wouldn't necessarily have linked it back to the restaurant. Surely if you're going to top up babies bottles you make sure it's clean fresh water???

The restaurant firm, which is owned by parent company Mitchells & Butlers, told the Daily Mail it had admitted liability and was in contact with Mr and Mrs Martin's solicitors.

It said: "The safety and well-being of our customers is our primary concern."

FFS WHat ever happened to the word sorry!

There always advertising for bar & waiting staff at the local Toby carvery by me.. seems the staff dont stay long enough to do a COSHH awareness course ... just bad practice & having worked in a pub I fail to see how no one could have smelt the pipe cleaning fluid if it was in a jug under there noses

they seriously want a kick up the arse the whole chain

you don't need to have done a COSHH training course to know a baby shouldn't drink bleach!
