The Duncan 802
Forgot to mention, they can only run round a Mountain one way ,due to the uneven legs ,one side being larger than the other side, and the rarer ones being Ginger I've heard that before a few times, so it must be true
colint5 47
mind you he also told me that he used his daughters tortoise as a ferret,he lost it under ground twenty years ago but still go,s back looking with a bit of lettuce as bait every sunday because they can live for a very long time. that does work mate. but you have to melt a small candle on its shell so it can see. also if your short on purse nets , old onion bags will do
mackem 29,522
that does work mate. but you have to melt a small candle on its shell so it can see. And if your near the sea ferreting warrens forsake the tortoise('Cos they are expensive as f*ck nowadays, not just 50p like when I was a kid,and the local pet-shop had a cage crammed with them,oh,AND it had a monkey that smoked )just rake around in rockpools and get yourself a decent sized crab, dry the back of its shell(because wax wont "hold" on a wet carapace)stick the candle on and let the crab scuttle off into the warren, its not called ferreting, its called crabbing, but your wife mightnt be overly impressed if you tell her you were out all day catching crabs Its true.........Honest

mackem 29,522
you only have to look at the price of tropical fish in stores like pets at home % of the tropical fish sold in western pet-stores are caught in Philippines or indonesia, dive or snorkel on a reef over there and its like being in a living tropical aquarium, theres a couple of fish dealers I walked into in Cebu city just out of interest, big holding tanks, they pay their collectors a pittance, the fish are caught with cyanide which kills the coral and the majority of the fish, coral smuggling is also big business, sad really as a genuine pristine living reef really is an incredible sight. darkie 143
one rainy evening in fiji ,me and a swiss guy got bored smoking dope and drinking beer and decided to fish for cane toads using the silver foil from a fag packet ,we twisted the foil into a rough fly shape ,tied it to about 4 metrers of fishing line and cast out in front of the toads ,we didnt have to leave our chairs ,dope or beer because there were every where, the rain and lights attacted them. A few seconds of jigging the fly and they would pounce ,hell they would fight wouldnt want to let go and squirting poison from there backs eventually they would spit it out and clear off.going back to tropical fish ,i met a old woman sitting in the sea up to her shoulders (still in fiji now) she was hand lining using a bit of eel as bait, the line was wrapped around a plastic coke bottle ,in the bottle was spare hooks and weights.I asked her what she had caught and she showed me inside the sack wrapped around her waist .there was about 40+ small tropical fish and eels ,her dinner. On the same stretch of beach about 2 days later i saw a couple of local guys walking along with a pack of small dogs ,one guy had a machette the other had a broom handle with a steel spike lashed to the end. When i asked were they were going he said they were hunting wild pig.The weird thing was all the dogs looked like toy poodles or crosses off with matted coats.sorry to have rabbited on.
